Getting started with OneStepTwo

Record the first event

Open Home and use Quick log. Choose pee, poo, both, tried or accident, then save the event for the child shown on screen.

Use tried when the useful fact is that the child sat or made an attempt but did not pee or poo. Choose the event that plainly matches what happened.

Correct the time or add a note

Open the event details when you need to correct the time. Notes are optional. A short note can preserve useful handoff context, but you do not need to write a story for every event.

Keep notes factual and considerate because invited family members can see the shared record.

Switch children before you log

If your family has more than one child in OneStepTwo, check the child name on Home before using Quick log. Each child has a separate history and Potty School progress.

If you choose the wrong child or details, open the event and correct it rather than creating a second entry.

Review the Logbook

The Logbook brings recorded events together in time order. Use it to answer practical questions such as what was logged during a caregiver’s shift or whether an event needs a corrected note.

A sequence of events is not a diagnosis and does not establish readiness, a medical condition or the reason something happened.

Understand offline saving and sync

A potty event can be saved on your device while it is offline. It waits to sync when the app has a connection and a sync trigger.

Another signed in device sees the change after the first device has uploaded it and that other device reaches its next foreground, reconnect, later mutation or manual refresh. Updates are not instantaneous, so use a direct message for urgent information.

Invite family when you are ready

The Family admin manages invitations, members, children and family settings. Invited Guardians and Caregivers can both log and view family activity, but they do not manage the family.

Invitations require OneStepTwo Premium. The Family admin sees the Premium offer instead of the invitation form when the family is on the free plan.

Only invite people who need access to the child’s record. The app is a record and coordination tool. It does not diagnose or prescribe.
