Delete Your OneStepTwo Account
You can request deletion of your OneStepTwo account from the app at any time. The backend deletion runs immediately after confirmation, but some provider-side and on-device records have separate cleanup paths described below.
How to Delete Your Account
- Open the OneStepTwo app and sign in.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Tap Delete my account, or Delete family account if you administer it.
- Review the summary of what will be deleted, then confirm.
The backend deletion cannot be undone. Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription; cancel it separately in your Apple account's subscription settings.
What Gets Deleted
For a family you administer, the backend deletes child profiles, potty-training events, availability sessions, related notification and preference records, device tokens, entitlement records, and family-role records, subject to the pending-invitation exception below. For families where you are a caregiver, it removes your local role and preference records. We then make best-effort requests to Clerk to delete the relevant organization and your Clerk user. Your Clerk memberships are removed only if the Clerk user-deletion request succeeds; a failed provider-side request may require follow-up.
These steps do not automatically remove unaccepted pending family-invitation records. Those records contain the invited email address, family identifier, selected role, and creation time, and can remain until the invitation is reconciled or manually cleaned up.
On iOS, signing out or deleting an account does not currently automatically delete the signed-in app's local SQLDelight database. Local copies can remain on the device until the app is removed or a future cleanup process removes them.
What We Keep, and For How Long
We keep a limited audit record that a child, account, or membership deletion occurred. It becomes eligible for purge after 90 days. Actual removal happens opportunistically when a later child or account deletion request runs, so it may remain longer than 90 days. This record is separate from the family activity data removed by the deletion flow.
